For lunch and dinner you can protect yourself from the heat of the Aquitaine sun by making yourself comfortable on the covered terrace on the north side. From there, you can admire the view of the Bastide de Domme, classified "one of the prettiest villages in France" and, in the evening, see the lights of the citadel come on one by one while you prepare a delicious barbecue. Summary: A nice and clean house on the outskirts of a small town. It was a new build house on a residential road with a camp site at the end of the road. Nice pool although smaller than usual for a property with 2 families staying. The house was very clean and basically furnished. Lots of padlocked cupboards which is fine. The entry was via the basement garage up some stairs with insulated/plyboard stairs which was a shame and the front gates were padlocked so we had to lug our cases up the narrow basement stairs via the garage. Beds were comfy. There was a noisy buzzing from a boiler type machine next to upstairs bedroom. We asked what it was and if we could turn it off but were told to simply shut the cupboard door - but it took a big slam to shut and even then would open again. Fans in each bedroom would have been nice. There were only 3. Overall a nice house and good value but we would not stay again.

Summary: A beautiful house in a wonderful setting. The charm for us is that this was the real France. We found it refreshing that this was a real French holiday spot and the villa was a wonderful and relaxing setting with a wonderful view.

Summary: This home is ideal for big groups - lots of sleeping space, lots of outdoor lounging space and a well-stocked kitchen. Owners were very gracious and helpful, especially when we had a hard time finding the place. More specific directions would be nice - we were given lat/long coordinates and I don't know how to plug those into Google Maps!

Summary: Excellent in all aspects. Location is perfect for exploring Dordogne main landmarks, and also very close to supermarkets, bakeries etc. The only warning is that if you follow the GPS indications you may end up at a military surveillance station :) Very clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The pool was a nice bonus for the unusual hot days at the end of August 2017. And of course the view towards Domme is the cherry on top, especially when the top of the old town barely gets above the surrounding mist. Thank you for the wonderful stay, hope to get back some day.

Summary: The House has wonderful views looking towards Domme. Early morning and at dusk, hot air balloons can be viewed from the balcony. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and has everything and more, to make your stay comfortable.

Summary: What a delightful property in an outstanding quiet location,with wonderful Views to Dome and the surrounding countryside Large terrace to enjoy alfresco dining,the grandchildren just loved the heated pool and kayaking down on the river. We hope to return again next year for our 3rd visit.

Summary: Gorgeous house in a lovely part of the Dordogne. Spent the week there recently with family and it worked really well. Highlights - were an excellently set up kitchen, quality of place and fittings, space/gardens around the property and of course the lovely view to Domme from in and out of the house. Suited young kids really well too. Again, can't really fault it in anyway and hope to return one day.

Summary: We were unlucky with the weather but thankfully there is plenty to do and see in the area even when it's raining. The villa was a great base with fantastic facilities and when the sun did shine it was lovely to sit out on the terrace overlooking Domme.

Summary: Both the house and the area are incredibly beautiful. We were made to feel welcome by Monsieur and Madame Wagner and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Dordogne. It was made even better by the safe location of the pool and child friendly garden. The wildlife was wonderful (bats, birds and deer), and the morning and evening views of Domme from the terrace were magical. This was our second visit to this house and we would recommend it without hesitation. David & Susan Elliott

Summary: This is an outstanding property and a perfect location for exploring the Dordogne. The house has quality finishes and is very clean, comfortable and well laid out. The gardens are lovely and the pool overlooking Domme is amazing. It was the perfect backdrop to enjoy our stay. The owners are extremely helpful and went out of their way to provide us with medical contacts in case of emergency for our son with anaphylaxis to nuts and asthma (luckily he was perfectly fine). The house is conveniently located - close to main tourist sites and a quick and hassle free drive to grocery store and bakery for the morning croissants. Staying in this beautiful house with our friends was the highlight of our 3 week trip to France. I will be back!
